Make your dreams come true with this dreamy card tutorial

I adore this month’s Designer’s Choice! The die set creates a wonderful full sized Dreamcatcher (which you can see a video of on my YouTube channel CRaFTi PoTeNTiAl :D) And it’s a lovely versatile design enabling you to customise it to yours or the recipients tastes :D However as usual I like to show you another way of using the dies, so here’s a step by step for one of the cards I made :D

Step 1

To create this simple shaker card, you’ll need a piece of acetate, a white card panel (mine’s 10x13.5cm) which you’ll die-cut with the scalloped circle die. Use the waste piece to cut the sentiment into, along with a piece of pink card, and you’ll also need some silver silk card, cut this with the larger holey circle die. And for decoration cut some butterflies too

Step 2

Add you acetate behind your aperture…

Step 3

…then surround the back with 3D foam tape to create your shaker well. This is where you add your confetti (mine’s from the Tropical Paradise set)…

Step 4

… add a piece of pink card over the back of your shaker well and press firmly around the perimeter to seal the shaker.

Step 5

Now you have your shaker window

Step 6

For this card, I want the shaker behind the sentiment, and I also want the sentiment to be shadowed, so I’ve layered the pink die-cut directly on top of the silver one, and then I’ll off set the white one on top…

Step 7

…like so, and simply stick this onto your acetate window.

Step 8

Add your main shaker panel onto your card blank, and finally finish with a scattering of butterflies, a few Nuvo drops scattered diagonally across the card would also look fab too

Hope you enjoyed this quick and simple shaker card, head over to my channel for my Up Close video where I show my Dreamcatcher and about 7 other card ideas too :D Christine xxx
